Danny DeVito and the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival

As part of our weekly favourite Round Room moments, we are reminiscing on one of our favourite events which took place back in 2013 when the Round Room Conference Venue Dublin was transformed into an LAPD station during the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. The transformation was set up to honour the pint sized, famous actor Danny DeVito and LA Confidential.

During the event a group of young thespians acted out the most famous scenes from the film for not alone a packed audience but also in front of Danny DeVito himself! Danny DeVito who played Sid Hudgens in the icon 1997 flick also took to the stage after the movie and live performance to chat to the audience. Guests wore trench coats and trilbys as they made their way to the venue and they were snapped by 1950’ s styled paparazzi. Once inside they were greeted by LA’s boys in blue.

The Conference and Events Venue at the Mansion House was completely transformed for the event. Once guests arrived inside they were greeted by LA’s boys in blue. The entrance hall was decked out similar to an LA Police Department with cells complete with a night watchman dozing.  After passing the cops, guests made their way to the cocktail bar which was decked out similar to Nick’s Liquor Store in the film.
